Our art classes cover both drawing lessons and painting lessons. We teach in all media and run art classes in watercolour painting, acrylic painting in addition to oils, acrylic inks, pen and ink, pen and wash, pastels and mixed media. We also cover various unusual and creative techniques and collage. All our classes are held in the art studio.
Saturday Art Classes
We run full day art lessons most Saturdays throughout the year. They run from 10am-4pm and can be booked individually. The subjects and media for these painting lessons are different for each class although you often will have a choice of medium.
We also hold Saturday morning drawing lessons.
Many of our classes are suitable for beginners. We can accommodate all levels from beginners to advanced students in the mixed ability groups.
You will need to bring a pack lunch but tea and coffee are provided. In the summer you can have your lunch in the garden if the weather is fine.
Half Day Art Classes
The format for these painting lessons is similar to the Saturday classes but they run from 2pm-5pm and are normally on a Monday or Tuesday afternoon in the spring and summer months and they can be booked individually. On some of the afternoons we hold half day drawing lessons.
Life Drawing and Painting and Portrait Drawing and Painting Lessons
These are evening classes held on a Tuesday in the art studio from 7.30pm-9.30pm and you will be working from a live model well lit and well posed. They are suitable for intermediate and advanced students. They run as terms and are usually booked as a block of 10 classes.
Art Class Terms
These run during the autumn and winter months on Monday and Tuesday afternoons from 1.30pm-3.30pm and are booked as a block of 10 classes. They are suitable for all levels from beginners to advanced art students. They also cover all subjects and all media.
